Having returned from a week at Rowan House I wish I was back already. I have never felt as comfortable and relaxed as I have in the last week. With the most beautiful loch and hillside surrounding the guest house, what more could anyone ever want. Steven and Wendy are the most hospitable couple and it seems nothing is too much. If you are lucky you will see a seal or two around the loch and stags walking the hillside.

The room was perfect and comfortable, it was always the most welcoming sight to see the house as you returned from a day of adventuring. There are a lot of walks and things to do - can't recommend it highly enough.

Just returned from a lovely weekend with my partner at Rowan House. I couldn't believe how spacious and welcoming the room and house was and how comfortable the bed was. They had everything that we needed for our time with them, nothing seems like too much trouble. The views are incredible and the lane is the most peaceful road we have ever strolled down. Breakfast is very filling and you can tell it is top quality produce (I believe there are free range chickens at the back.)

You can totally switch off here as it is so peaceful, and I would highly recommend anyone to visit the area and stay at Rowan House - will definitely return.

Beautifull location, pleasant owners, very comfy beds and great cooked breakfast! It was just an overnight stay for us - last stop in Scotland on the way back to London, but it would be a great stay in the area for longer visits as well. The hosts very very helpful getting in touch in advance to let us know there was nowhere to eat in the village, so we had dinner on the way in Lochgoilhead - would have been starving otherwise after a trip from Fort William. Definitely recommend!

We have just returned from a two day stay with Wendy and Steve and and wanted to reiterate what other people had said about this accommodation. Spotlessly clean, lovely breakfast and a really comfortable bed.My husband managed to forget his razor and Wendy managed to produce one for him to use which was fantastic as we were there to attend a wedding!! No phone signal on O2 which was bliss to me!! Hope to go back one day and spend more time in this lovely area.

We recently stayed at Rowan House when visiting Loch Goil for our daughters wedding. Wendy and Steve were excellent hosts and really looked after us. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was cooked at a time to suit us and was excellent. We had a problem with our car and Steve and Wendy were both there to offer help and get us back on the road again. I will definately recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in Loch Goil or the surrounding area. Views from our room were excellent.

Have just returned from a weekend away at this great little B&B, to celebrate an anniversary. Wendy and Stephen made us feel comfortable from the get go. The room was large and with a stunning view of the loch, and great little en suite. Hosts went out of their way to help us when we had car trouble, and even gave us a lift to our restaurant after our car became out of action, and some midge repellant for the walk back! Cooked breakfast in the morning was very tasty.

Great little oasis, at an amazing price. We would definitely return (and make sure our car doesn't break down this time...). Would also recommend The Shore House Inn, a restaurant 10 mins drive away (or 90 mins walk...) which do great wood-fired pizzas
